Cookies and audience measurement
This website sets no cookies. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served exclusively from this domain; the only resources loaded from third-party servers are the services listed individually below (Cloudflare Web Analytics, Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact page and — only with your consent — Google Analytics). For audience measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. The service works without cookies and without any identifier: it records only aggregated information such as the page requested, the referring page, the approximate country of origin, browser type, device type and loading time. Individual visitors are not recognised, no profiles are created and the IP address is not stored. As no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in statistical analysis of how the site is used.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you agree in the notice banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The service is only loaded once you have agreed — if you decline or make no choice at all, not a single request goes to Google. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects, among other things, the pages you visit, time spent, referring page, approximate location, device and browser; data is also transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. The transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a residual risk of access by US authorities remains. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer.
Server log files
This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When the site is accessed, data is automatically recorded in server log files: page requested, date and time, data volume transferred, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in technically faultless operation. We do not access these log files ourselves; the retention period is governed by the provider's policy.
Transfers to third countries (USA)
Cloudflare delivers the site via a global network; visitors from Europe are normally served from data centres within the EU. Processing of data — in particular the IP address — in the USA cannot be ruled out. The transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A residual risk of access by US authorities remains.
Enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form we process the details you enter solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Data is not passed to third parties, except where processing your order requires your delivery address to be passed to our supplier Dock Discounter CV, Rotterdam. We delete the data once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply. The enquiry is not stored on the web server; it is delivered to us by email only. To guard against automated bulk submissions the server keeps a non-reversible checksum of your IP address for at most one hour; the IP address itself is not stored. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cloudflare Turnstile (protection of the enquiry form)
On the contact page we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Turnstile checks whether an enquiry comes from a human being rather than from an automated program. To do so, a script is loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com when the contact page opens; in the process your IP address, information about your browser and device and behavioural characteristics such as mouse and keyboard input are transmitted to Cloudflare and evaluated there. We have set Turnstile up without pre-clearance, so it sets no cookies; according to Cloudflare the data is used solely to detect abuse, not for advertising and not to recognise you across websites. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in protecting the form against automated enquiries. The form cannot be submitted unless the check is passed; you are welcome to write to us directly at [email protected] instead. For the transfer to the USA, the section “Transfers to third countries (USA)” applies. Details are set out in Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Configurator
The pontoon configurator calculates entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted to our server unless you explicitly send an enquiry. If you add items to the enquiry list, your browser stores that list locally (local storage) so it survives moving between pages. Only part number and quantity are stored. The data leaves your browser only when you send the enquiry, and you can delete the list at any time via “Clear list”. No consent is required because the function is strictly necessary for the service you requested (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG).
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Contact [email protected] to exercise them. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for us the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
SSL encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. You can recognise it by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
